Since 1971, Hopelink has served homeless and low-income families, children, seniors and people with disabilities in the north and east King County, WA. With service centers in Redmond, Bellevue, Kirkland, Shoreline and Sno-Valley (Carnation), we are the largest nonprofit organization in the area. The Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Scheduler I receives and assigns same day service requests, provides superior customer service, and works proactively with service partners. This position reports directly to the NEMT Scheduling Supervisor and serves as a resource to other Transportation staff when needed.

The NEMT Scheduler I is responsible for ensuring pick-ups, drop-offs, and ride times occur in a timely, safe, and efficient manner by identifying service gaps and ensuring that vehicle efficiency is maximized to reduce trip costs. The Scheduler I documents eligibility data and service needs, processes trip requests, provides referral information and assistance for callers who are ineligible for services, and serves as a first line of resolution for customer complaints.

The career opportunity:

The Food Program Supervisor works with the food team, volunteers, and clients at our no cost food assistance markets. Hopelink provides food assistance to mitigate hunger and support basic food security for low-income households in North and East King County.

The Food Program Supervisor provides coordination of the food program at a specific center; provides guidance, direction, and supervision to volunteer staff.  Responsible for weekly ordering of fresh and non-perishable food from multiple sources, maintains Hopelink Markets inventory and overall cleanliness of the markets. Performs client intake, determines client eligibility, and provides appropriate information and referral.  The Food Program Supervisor provides leadership for the volunteer staff and sets the tone for culturally competent and client focused customer service for all food market participants.

The Client Resource Specialist is one of the first points of contact at the Service Center’s Front Desk and is responsible for warmly greeting and welcoming all visitors.  They provide excellent customer service to clients, donors, visitors, and staff, and are critical to ensure smooth operation of the center.  The environment can sometimes be fast paced and busy and other times it can be slower.  This position requires the ability to multi-task, problem solve, be flexible, stay calm under pressure and deescalate issues when necessary.  Must be comfortable working with individuals who demonstrate extreme or unpredictable behavior related to various kinds or crisis or trauma including substance abuse, mental health disorders, and/or homelessness.

The Process Improvement Specialist – Transportation reports to and works with the Sr. Manager of Process Excellence to find and implement process improvements across Hopelink’s Transportation division. This role includes close collaboration with transportation staff to identify and implement process improvements such as written procedures, data tracking tools, and key performance indicators.
