The Challenge

One in eight children in America live without consistent access to food. Having enough to eat is fundamental to ensuring families remain healthy and stable, but for nearly 16,000 children in North and East King County who receive free and reduced-price meals at school, summer vacation doesn’t mean a chance to spend carefree days outside playing with friends. The end of the school year means no longer having regular access to balanced, nutritious meals.

You Can Help

It is stressful when parents can’t afford food for their children. Hopelink’s End Summer Hunger campaign helps parents not have to worry about how they are going to fill their pantry or refrigerator during the summer months. We want our community to be able to rely on Hopelink to partner with them to ensure their families are nourished. Hopelink’s food markets offer more than just food – our neighbors can find culturally relevant options and walk away with a renewed sense of dignity and hope.

Hopelink’s End Summer Hunger campaign raises funds to help bridge the gap in access to regular, healthy meals for thousands of local kids and families.
