Charles and Wendy Fawcett

Charles and Wendy Fawcett

Two mornings a week, Charles and Wendy Fawcett can be found at Hopelink Bellevue, getting the Market ready for the day. This can look wildly different depending on the morning – some days they are restocking food on the shelves and in the fridges, other mornings they are organizing, weighing, and directing the numerous donations that come in from local grocery stores every morning. Whatever the task, they always manage to do it with a smile on their faces.

When Wendy isn’t at Hopelink, she spends time at the Bellevue Demonstration Garden. So far this year, the garden has donated nearly 100 pounds of fresh produce to the Bellevue market. Wendy is the first person we turn to when we get plants or flowers donated to spruce them up before they are ready to hand out to our shoppers.

Charles has been teaching part-time at the Center for Wooden Boats for twenty years. At the market, he helps keep the back organized; wrapping up pallets to be sent out, consolidating to make room for deliveries, de-icing the freezer, and more.

We truly could not do all the amazing work we do at the Hopelink Bellevue Market without these two!
