Reaching Out Luncheon FAQs

What is the Reaching Out Luncheon?

The annual Reaching Out Luncheon is Hopelink’s signature event, with a goal of raising $1 million to provide services to families and individuals in north and east King County, Washington.

How can I attend this year’s Reaching Out Luncheon?

We will be back in person at the Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue this year! There will also be the option to watch the event online. For those attending online, you will receive a link to the live stream the week before the event, and you will simply click on that link to begin watching on the day of the event. There is not log-in information required for watching online.

How do I register? Is there a deadline?

Registration will open in June. Once registration begins, you can register online, email RSVP@hopelink.org or call 425.897.3703.

Registration will officially close at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, September 30, or when the event reaches capacity. If seats are still available on the day of the luncheon, they will be assigned through walk-up registration on a first-come, first-served basis.

What is the cost to attend the luncheon?

Free! The Reaching Out Luncheon is a fundraiser for Hopelink services, however, it is not a ticketed event, nor is there a cost to attend. During the luncheon program, you will be asked to make a gift by filling out a giving card at your table. Guests may write checks or provide credit card information. The suggested minimum donation is $200, and your contribution can be pledged over time.

What is a Table Captain and how do I sign up?

Hopelink’s Table Captains partner with us by hosting a table and inviting guests from their professional/personal communities to join us for a day of inspiration and hope - with the goal of raising awareness and support of the organization during the Luncheon.

Table Captain registration will open on May 31st. If you are interested in becoming a Table Captain, please email RSVP@hopelink.org to ensure you are on the mailing list to receive registration information the day it opens.

What is a Pacesetter and how do I sign up?

Hopelink Pacesetters help “set the pace” for the Reaching Out Luncheon. As a Pacesetter, your leadership will not only motivate other luncheon attendees to give generously as well but will provide critical support for our ongoing work to ensure our clients’ needs are met with success.

We will have more information about how to become a Pacesetter soon. Please check back for details.

What are the COVID-19 safety protocols for the in-person event?

Safety protocols are subject to change based on government mandates and venue guidelines at the time of the event. At this time, Hopelink will be requiring all guests to wear masks while not eating or drinking. Meydenbauer Center has implemented strict air filtration systems including outside airflow at 50%, HVAC filtration with MERV 13 filters. All areas will be sanitized before the event, and there will be access to hand sanitizer in each room.

What if I have dietary restrictions or other special needs?

We can accommodate most dietary concerns. Please let us know prior to the event. Call 425.897.3703, or email RSVP@hopelink.org. We will do our absolute best to accommodate you.

Where do I park?

We encourage guests to carpool or arrive early to ensure parking nearby. The Meydenbauer lot below the main ballroom will be free and reserved for luncheon attendees, but is usually filled by 11:15 a.m. You may also park in non-validated overflow lots in the surrounding area.

I need to cancel my registration, what should I do?

Thank you for letting us know! Please email RSVP@Hopelink.org by October 7 so that we are able to cancel your lunch order. (Cancellations after this date can still be processed, but we will not be able to change our catering order after October 7).

I am not able to attend the luncheon, but want to donate, can I do that?

Yes, thank you! If you cannot attend and would still like to support Hopelink, you can donate online at:
