About WSCAP

WSCAP is a nonprofit organization created to provide a unified voice for Community Action Agencies in advocacy, policy, programmatic, and legislative issues affecting families and communities in the state of Washington. The organization also provides training and technical assistance to each of their 30 agencies, ensuring high quality professional services for those seeking our assistance.

Hopelink is also part of a national network of more than 1,000 organizations.

Every year, Community Action Agencies around the country help more than 13 million people.
By working together across local, state and national levels, Community Action Agencies are leveraging resources to eliminate poverty and change lives.
The national Community Action Network was created in 1964 under the Economic Opportunity Act, signed into law under President Lyndon Johnson.

The Promise of Community Action

Community Action changes people’s lives, embodies the spirit of hope, improves communities, and makes America a better place to live. We care about the entire community and we are dedicated to helping people help themselves and each other.
