Wood Harbinger in Bellevue battled childhood hunger as a team by collecting 302 pounds of food and $805 for Hopelink’s End Summer Hunger campaign. The employees held a bake sale to spread the word and raise awareness, helping stock Hopelink’s Bellevue food bank with additional breakfast and lunch foods for kids on summer break.
Yoga, sunshine and a group that gives back: Long-time Hopelink supporters Discover Yoga in Redmond are no strangers to helping others and having a good time along the way. For 10 summers, the Redmond group has hosted “Yoga in the Park” to raise food and cash for Hopelink programs.
Hopelink loves you berry much! Our Duvall neighbors, Cottage Gardens Heirloom Blueberries held a drive where customers can “Pick a Pound for Hopelink” which benefitted the Sno-Valley foodbank. Through this drive, 50 pounds of fresh, nutritious blueberries were donated for local families to enjoy.
It was a Redmond showdown as Hancock’s Bakery and the City of Redmond went head-to-head in the final week of Hopelink Can Madness. On April 1, the family run bakery made its return to victory after scoring a three-peat in the first few years of the tournament. During the month long annual competition, 32 businesses in Hopelink’s service area raised a total of 50,746 pounds of food and $20,027 – setting a new record for both food and cash raised for local families.
