32 Local Teams Competing for Trophy

REDMOND, WA – A full slate of 32 local businesses are off and running in Hopelink’s seventh annual Can Madness competitive food drive to help stock the agency’s five food banks. The first weigh-in will take place Friday (March 4) and the competition will continue until the winner is crowned April 1.
Hopelink’s 15th annual Turkey Trot 5K family fun run & walk is set for Sunday, Nov. 22 in Kirkland. The 3-mile course runs from Marina Park to Carillon Point and back, and is open to both runners and walkers. Registration begins at 9 a.m., and the race starts at 10 a.m.

Food Network host, author and philanthropist Alton Brown will deliver the keynote address at Hopelink’s Reaching Out Benefit Luncheon Monday, Oct. 19 at Bellevue’s Meydenbauer Center.

Please call ahead to schedule an appointment to register with your local food bank. Once you are registered you will be able to attend twice per month. Hopelink also has volunteers who are able to make home deliveries to homebound individuals.
