Kids Need School Supplies

Providing school children with the essential supplies they need to learn can be expensive, but Hopelink is here to help you. Items such as backpacks, pens, paper or other basic school supplies can be obtained, at no cost, through our Kids Need School Supplies Program.

To Qualify for Assistance You Need to Meet the Following Criteria:

  • Your children must be entering grades K-12
  • Your children must attend school within Lake Washington, Riverview, Skykomish or Snoqualmie Valley School Districts
  • You must meet the household income criteria below

Distribution Days:

Pre-registration is not required to attend a distribution day. School supplies will be available at the Kirkland, Redmond, and Sno-Valley Hopelink centers.

If you are a food bank client with a food bank appointment during August 12th – 22nd, you may receive school supplies during your visit. To schedule a food bank appointment, please call your Hopelink center.

Kirkland | August 12, 14, 19 and 21: 2 – 4pm | August 13, 15, 20 and 22: 4:30 – 6:30pm | August 23rd (make-up day): 11am – 1pm

Redmond | August 12, 13, 19 and 20: 2:30 – 4:30pm | August 14 and 21: 5:30 – 7:30pm | August 15 and 22: 12:30 – 2:30pm

Sno-Valley | August 21: 5 – 7pm | August 15 and 22: 12 – 2pm

  • Multi-colored backpacks (especially for female students)

Free School Supplies for Teachers:

Teachers spend an average of $500 of their own money every school year to buy school supplies for their students. Hopelink wants to help by providing free, brand new school supplies for teachers. Items such as crayons, pencils, and copy paper will be available.
