Gift Room Changes This Year

Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic we need to run things a little differently this holiday season in order to help keep staff, volunteer and clients safe. This year, rather than accepting and distributing physical gifts for children, we will be working with our corporate partners and online fundraisers to purchase gift cards for families. Parents will then use those gift cards to buy books, games, toys or whatever lights up a smile for their children during the holidays.

We ask that our individual donor community support families we serve this holiday season with financial contributions to meet what we expect will be high demand by our neighbors for basic needs of food, shelter, heat and transportation during the winter months.

For 50 years, we’ve seen your generosity in helping neighbors work hard to create stability in crisis and a path out of poverty. This year is different. This year we are facing challenges new to us all. You’ve stood up for your community throughout this crisis, and we hope you can continue to support the critical work of Hopelink as we head into winter, and hopefully, a new and better year.

If you have questions about how to start an online fundraising to support the purchase of gift cards, please contact Isabel Hoggatt at drives@hopelink.org.

Thank you very much for your support and have a wonderful holiday season!
