Alex and his family came to Hopelink during a difficult period in their lives. Parents of an adult daughter with disabilities, the family felt isolated and were uncertain of where to turn to for support. Hopelink helped Alex access the services they needed in order to navigate a challenging time.
“It is clear to us from personal experience that hard times can hit any family,” Alex said. “Hopelink has provided rides for our daughter to and from appointments, they helped put food on our table, and they helped us pay utility bills when our situation looked dire.”
With Hopelink’s help, Alex and his family were able to get back on their feet, and they are thankful they’re now able to help others. Recently, the family made a $2,500 donation to help Hopelink continue to provide crucial services during the COVID-19 crisis.
“We are paying it forward because we have benefited from the services they provided when we faced a difficult period in our lives,” Alex said. “We feel blessed to be able to help.”
